Friday 4/16/2038: Farrelly and Levesque win Hitter of the Year The 2038 North American Hitter of the Year winner has been announced. It's USA STARS's rightfielder Theodore Farrelly who really had a great offensive year. Theodore has gone 11 for 28 (.393) this season, hitting 4 bombs and driving in 13 runs. He has scored 7 runs on his own. He's 4th in the North American in batting, 2nd in homeruns and 1st in RBI! WORLD's third baseman John-Paul Levesque will never forget this day as well. A great season convinced the voters that he is the worthy World Hitter of the Year winner. Levesque has hit 2 homeruns this year while batting .318. He adds one double, along with 3 runs scored. He's 6th in the World in batting, 1st in homeruns and 2nd in RBI! |
Friday 4/16/2038: CENTRAL AMERICA's Castillo named Rookie of the Year Jason Connor was named the North American Rookie of the Year winner today. USA STRIPES's shortstop put up pretty good numbers for a rookie this year. This 21 year old kid will probably have a long and successful career! Connor has walked 3 times this year and posts a .320 OBP. While batting .190, 4 for 21, he has driven in 1 runs. The 2038 World Rookie of the Year winner is from CENTRAL AMERICA this season. Roberto Castillo put together impressive numbers for a rookie en route to win the first major award of his career. Let's hope more will follow for this 23 year old ballplayer. |
Monday 4/12/2038: Gurrola and Villamil win Player of the Week award The Player of the Week award in the North American goes to DOMINICAN REPUBLIC's Jose Gurrola this time, as the third baseman displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. He hit .500 with 7 RBI and slugged .833 in 18 at bats. He got at least one hit each game this week and is on a 7 game hitting streak right now. The Player of the Week award in the North American goes to DOMINICAN REPUBLIC's Jose Villamil this time, as the first baseman displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. Jose pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .313 with 0 HR and 3 RBI while slugging .500. |
Thursday 4/8/2038: Quincy Tomlin NO-HITS USA STRIPES USA STRIPES - USA STARS's left-hander Quincy Tomlin made some history today, firing a no-hitter against USA STRIPES. Their hitters found out the hard way that he is among the leagues top pitchers, never having a chance against his overpowering stuff. Tomlin (2-0) fanned 8 and walked 3, throwing 102 pitches. 'My catcher called a very good game. I have to give credit to him. He was the main reason I accomplished this feat.' John Feather helped Tomlin at the plate, he got 2 hits in 4 AB, homering once. The final score of the game was 2-0. |
